All the Rage at
London Fashion Week
Centrix has been appointed as technology supplier to the British Fashion Council for their flagship event, London Fashion Week, which has recently moved from the Natural History Museum to Somerset House - the former home of ‘births, deaths and marriages’ and now the headquarters of the Inland Revenue.
This international fashion industry event is held in the Autumn and Spring, and plays host to the world’s most established designers. Centrix will be providing telephony services, internet access via the Medusa and high availability Wifi access for the 150+ photographers who will be resident for the duration of the event.
This September’s event was the first major event which we have been commissioned for, following our appointment as technology supplier and advisor to Somerset House Trust in February. Roy Dunn the lead engineer for the project said “the event went without a hitch giving the engineer’s ample time to enjoy the shows and share glass of champagne with Paul Smith”. Centrix were supported through out the project buy the excellent technical team at Phoenix Broadband.
Future events include London Fashion Weekend and Show Studio’s Fashion Revolution.
Somerset House, the former home of ‘births, deaths and marriages’ and the headquarters of the Inland Revenue is a neo-classical building in the heart of London sitting between The Strand and the River Thames. In the summer months Somerset House hosts open air concerts, films, contemporary art and design exhibitions and family workshops and in the winter it is the home of London’s favourite outdoor ice rink.
