Dacon Appoints Centrix As Key Reseller for Rockwell's Transcend eCommerce Solution

Partnership will help expand market reach for leading multimedia contact centre product.

Specialist telecommunications distributor Dacon has appointed Centrix, a leading provider of converged voice, data and IP solutions, to handle Rockwell Transcend eCommerce, the multimedia-enabled contact centre solution from Rockwell.

Transcend eCommerce works alongside any existing or proposed PBX in a contact centre to give advanced multimedia routing, queuing and reporting capabilities, and is fully scalable from as few as eight agent seats. It enables blending of voice and Internet communications in a single queue with intelligent skills-based routing, real-time reporting and centralised MIS, to support cost-effective management of all customer interactions.

Transcend features enhanced real-time displays and graphical reporting, offering users a clear view of how customers are being served and the ability to immediately make changes to the call centre environment in real time. Applications can be quickly developed and deployed by supervisors to give all in one multimedia contact solutions.

According to Dacon, Transcend eCommerce removes many of the current barriers to web-enablement for existing contact centres with features including email management, web-based collaboration, web 'call back' facilities, as well as VoIP and IP video features.

Transcend eCommerce will be integrated into Basingstoke-based Centrix's portfolio, which includes the Avaya Definity range of switches in addition to an extensive range voice messaging, IP telephony and data networking solutions.
