Centrix
Looks to the Future

With the telecoms industry changing so rapidly particularly with the increased use of voice over IP and the convergence of voice & data, companies such as Centrix are finding it increasingly difficult to find engineers who are experienced in these disciplines, and are also capable of offering the kind of customer service that Centrix prides itself on.

March 2008 saw the start of the Centrix Trainee Technician Scheme. With its first delegate, Jack Brown, his training will consist of a mixture of practical work based at Centrix’s offices in Winchfield, learning customer service skills and the importance of an efficient helpdesk team and onsite experience under the guidance of our other qualified engineers.

Avaya the manufacturer and the Avaya University will also play a major part over the next couple of years with extensive classroom sessions and online courses with the aim of eventually equipping the trainees with full ACE (Avaya Certified Expert) accreditation.

Jack is due to complete his BTEC National Diploma in IT & Communications which gives him the ideal grounding for a future in this challenging and rewarding industry.
