Centrix win "Trade Partner of the Year" from the BCA
The Business Centre Association (bca) announced the winners of its prestigious annual awards at its 5 th Annual Industry Awards Gala Dinner held in London on November 26 th.
With more than 650 member locations, the bca is the only UK trade association representing the business centre and managed workspace industry. The award winners were nominated by business centre users across the UK in recognition of excellence of customer service and outstanding professionalism. The bca panel of judges, who selected the winners was made up of industry leaders.
The award for Trade Partner of the Year , which was introduced for the first time in 2003, was given to Centrix Limited for the second year in succession which was unprecedented.
Jennifer Brooke, Executive Director of the bca had this to say about the award. "Centrix have been supporting our industry for a number of years and it is a pleasure to see them win this award for the second successive year. The comments from our members about the service and support given by Centrix was nothing short of exemplary. Comments such as "always a pleasure to deal with and an excellent telephone helpdesk", "they always return your calls when they promise to and rarely are unable to immediately answer our questions", "of all our partners and suppliers Centrix are the most consistent with the most helpful and knowledgeable staff", "they're a victim of their own success - we ring them constantly for help and advice and have yet to put a foot wrong", and "if only all our suppliers and partners could support us as well as they do".
For the event Centrix installed an Avaya wireless IP system and provided a wireless IP phone on each of the 40 tables powered by Avaya wireless access points and an Avaya S8300 Media Server. The phones were used mainly to promote wireless IP in business centres and serviced offices but also there was a fun element as people used them all evening to chat to friends at other tables and as part of a quiz that was run at the end of the evening. Written questions were provided to each table and the first table to get all the answers used the phone to ring the BCA chairman on stage with the answers. All other tables ringing were put in a queue and the first table that got all 8 questions correct won some bottles of champagne for the table, courtesy of Centrix.
Richard Burbage, Sales & Marketing Director of Centrix had this to say about the event. "Our involvement with business centres and the BCA goes back to 1995 and since then we have continued to invest in new products and services to supply into this vertical market. Our helpdesk and support procedures are built around the need to support these centres immediately and with a great deal of product knowledge as most of them rely entirely upon us to support them and their clients. Winning this award is a major endorsement of the support we deliver and the benefits of well trained and well motivated staff. Installing Avaya wireless IP phones for the event showed not only our skills in IP deployment but also our confidence that IP telephony is the technology that's driving our marketplace."
