Centrix Limited, specialists in the supply of Avaya IP telephony and hosted IP solutions, today announced that they have been acquired by AdEPT Telecom plc, one of the UK’s leading COMMSintegrators.

Richard Burbage, Sales & Marketing Director of Centrix, explains the rationale behind the sale and what this means to staff and customers; “In the 14 years that Centrix have been trading we’ve grown from £1m turnover in our first year to approaching £9m turnover in 2014. That growth has continued despite challenging market conditions at times, but for the next stage in our growth and expansion we always felt we would need outside investment and the economies of scale that can bring. When AdEPT Telecom plc approached us it was immediately obvious that there were synergies between the two businesses, especially in our related vertical markets such as Health and Government, but also sufficient differences in products and services that would give both business greater opportunities for existing and prospective customers. With the acquisition we deliver a substantial turnover and profitability to AdEPT and in return they will open new doors in new verticals for us to deliver our award-winning hosted IP telephony and our high-availability IP network. I’m entirely confident that as Centrix enters the next phase of growth it will prove beneficial to customers and will create further career opportunities for our staff”.

Ian Fishwick, Chief Executive of AdEPT Telecom plc, comments further on the acquisition; “When we first met Centrix it was immediately obvious here was  a well-run and profitable business that delivered on a number of levels, especially from a customer service and technical aspect. Their knowledge of Avaya Aura IP telephony and cloud-based hosted IP immediately impressed us and was an immediate fit with our existing plans for growth and new products and services to offer to our growing customer base. In addition their expertise in Smart Building Technology with the Medusa product, which delivers distributed internet in a multi-tenanted building, takes us in to new areas that will truly innovate. Bringing Centrix in to the AdEPT group of companies will be mutually beneficial and will prove pivotal in the continued expansion of the business”.
